LUKE EVANS
Skipper - Ocean Odyssey
Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore

Qualified skipper with a passion for the ocean and all that swims in it.
From an early age, I have had a deep love of the sea.
Since childhood, I have loved spending time in and around the ocean. Whether that be swimming, surfing, beachcombing, rock pooling or fishing, the sea is one of the great passions in my life.

I have a passion for hunting all species of fish, large and small, using a wide range of techniques, but I have an addiction to chasing sharks off the West Wales coast.
Notable catches include:
- Porbeagle sharks to circa 400lb
- Blue sharks 200lb
- Blue Fin Tuna to circa 540lb
- Common Skate to 190l
I am an active member of the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain, UKBFTA and Sportfishing Club of the British Isles.

EMMA EVANS
Skipper - Odyssey
Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore

Skippering ticks so many boxes for me; Odyssey being my office with great passionate anglers to spend the day with targeting prized fished whilst in the most idyllic landscape in the UK.
Recently featured in Sea Angler magazine and ITV News for work on shark conservation and empowering female anglers.

Fishing the Pembrokeshire coast gives us unique perspective of our national park, filled with an abundance of nature that never fails to amaze, including the sharks, puffins, dolphins and whales. They show us what true freedom looks like and why we must protect them.
A day full of adventure is finished off perfectly with the sun setting over Milford Haven as we power back to the marina, one that will never get old.
PIPPA
The Salty Sea Dog who loves making a splash.
JOINING THE CREW
Pippa was rehomed in January 2021 and soon settled into family life and loved her introduction to the beach.
She's taken like a duck to water on Odyssey, loves meeting new people on the pontoons and having a sniff around the boat.

PAST TIMES
Her past times include playing fetch, having lap naps and enjoying the sunshine.
You will soon succumb to her puppy dog eyes and share your sandwiches.
CONSERVATION
Conservation is key to what we do. We believe strongly in responsible fishing at all times. Where possible, we practice catch and release fishing. All big game species are handled with the utmost care to ensure their best chance of survival. Sharks are released into the water to ensure minimal damage to internal organs. We have been involved in tagging sharks for scientific studies. All blue shark captures are recorded and the results used to contribute to the Pat Smith Database to further develop the scientific understanding of these beautiful creatures.
In 2023, We were privileged to be trained skipper and crew for the Welsh Government CHART program to study the mighty Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna off the Welsh coast and have since obtained licenses for both boats annually. We can provide training to ensure safety for the fish, angler and skipper.
Whilst conservation is key to a sustainable fishery, we understand that fresh fish can make a very healthy meal and so we encourage anglers to only take what they need to avoid unnecessary waste.
